Job description

Teaches and encourages the infant, toddler, preschool and school age programs
Ensures high quality programs and establishes new program activities.
Develops strategies to motivate children and achieve goals.
Maintains a lesson plan for their classroom and each individual child
Assures compliance with ODJFS licensing, CACFP, SUTQ, NAEYC standards as they relate to program areas.
Provides for upkeep of assigned classroom, facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment is clean, safe, and inviting.
Develops and maintains relationships with ODJFS, vendors, parent groups, other organizations and coworkers.
Maintains proper records and student files.
Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.
Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
Performs duties in the Center as assigned
Must be computer literate
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age and have high diploma or equivalent.
Preferred CDA or more then 2 years experience
Ability to lift over 10 pounds
Must pass a background check and submit a medical statement as required by ODJFS standards. Must obtain and keep current training certifications in first aid, CPR, communicable diseases, and child abuse recognition & prevention and other trainings as required by ODJFS.

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour

Preschool Child Development Associate Certification or Early Childhood Associate or Bachelors Degree (Required)
Experience:
Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
Childcare: 2 years (Required)
