  • Family Engagement Specialist | Action for Children, Central Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency, is seeking an individual to join its Family and Community Engagement team. Drawing on knowledge of early childhood education, you will provide information, resources and referrals for customers seeking quality early learning opportunities. Qualified candidates will be able to assess customer needs and utilize a database system and community resources to meet each client’s needs and provide information in-person, via telephone or email. Ability to learn and manipulate a database system will ensure information is consistent and updated to track progress on program goals.   • Quality Coach/Technical Assistance Specialist (Step Up to Quality) | Action for Children (AFC), central Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency, is seeking an individual to join its Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) team. Drawing on your knowledge of early childhood care and education, you will provide coaching and support to child care program administrators who are beginning the SUTQ process, are renewing their star level or working toward achieving a higher rating. Specialists also provide linkage to professional development opportunities. This position involves work in AFC’s seven counties: Franklin, Madison, Pickaway, Fairfield, Licking, Delaware and Union.   • Father Factor Program Supervisor | Action for Children is seeking an individual to join our Fatherhood team as a Program Supervisor who will oversee all aspects of the Father Factor program for the agency.   • Case Manager | Action for Children is seeking an individual to join our team of parent education professionals working in fatherhood. As a Case Manager you will work with the program participants to identify and develop a plan to address barriers to responsible fatherhood.   • Job Coach | Action for Children is seeking an individual to join our team of parent education professionals working on a new fatherhood initiative —All In Dads!. As a Job Coach, you will identify and partner with local employers to establish employment opportunities for participants of the fatherhood program. You will also work with the fathers on an individual basis, assisting with implementation of a personal job plan. You will draw on your experience with workforce development, vocational assessment, job search strategies, resume writing and interviewing skills; as well as knowledge of the community and its various resources. Click here for more information and how to apply.
  • Lead Facilitator | Action for Children is seeking an individual to join our team of parent education professionals working as a Lead Curricula Facilitator. In this role you will be responsible to attain a mastery of program curricula, establish and lead Facilitator training workshops and work with the program participants in group setting facilitating program curriculum.   • Reporting and Compliance Specialist  | Action for Children (AFC), central Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency, is seeking an individual to join its Family Child Care (FCC) team. AFC is a sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for FCC in 12 Central Ohio Counties. The key goal of this position is to accurately process provider claims for reimbursement within the time constraints of this U.S. Department of Agriculture program.   • Technical Assistance Specialist – Family Child Care | Action for Children is seeking an individual to join its Family Child Care (FCC) team. Drawing on your knowledge of early childhood care and education, you will provide outreach services; education and technical assistance to family child care providers and individuals seeking to become licensed FCC providers.   • Help Me Grow Home Visitor | Action for Children, central Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency, is looking for an experienced individual to join its Help Me Grow (HMG) home visiting team. Duties include conducting home visits with the goal of providing: child health and development screening; referrals to service providers; family support, information and education; parent education that focuses on parent/child interactions, developmental instruction and promotion of early literacy. Volunteer for Action for Children

We offer volunteer opportunities during office hours, Monday through Friday, as well as special events during office or non-office hours. Opportunities range from using your office and computer skills to assist our staff or working with staff on short-term special events, projects, and fundraising.
