  • Executive Assistant | As the Executive Assistant, you’ll provide calendar management for the CEO, act as a liaison and provide support to the Board of Directors, and complete a variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the CEO’s ability to effectively lead the organization (including assisting with special projects, designing and producing documents, reports, and presentations; collecting and preparing information for meetings with staff and outside parties).   • SPARK Parent Partner | Action for Children, central Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency, is seeking an experienced individual to join its SPARK home visiting team. SPARK (Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids) is a kindergarten readiness home visiting program that involves supporting children as they move from home to school, ensuring that children are ready for school and schools are ready for families.   • Quality Coach TA Specialist, Step Up To Quality | Drawing on your knowledge of early childhood care and education, you will provide coaching and support to child care program administrators who are beginning the SUTQ process, renewing their star level, or working toward achieving a higher rating.   • Technical Assistance Coach, The Village | Action for Children (AFC), Central Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency, is seeking an individual to join its Child Care and Education Initiatives team as a member of our newly established Staffed Family Child Care Network (SFCCN), The Village. The Village will offer business management, quality improvement, and community networking supports to Family Child Care (FCC) program owners/providers through on-site individualized coaching, program-to-program mentoring, no-cost professional development/training, program material assistance, and various professional events.   • Operations and Strategy Coach, The BOSS | Action for Children (AFC) is seeking an individual to join its Child Care and Education Initiatives team as a specialized coach for The BOSS, our newly established business support program for child care centers and family child care homes. The Business & Organizational Support Services (The BOSS) will help childcare providers manage their finances, hire and retain qualified staff, increase their enrollment, and otherwise help programs to increase their financial viability and quality, and better serve children and families.   • Coordinator, Family Child Care Pre-Licensing Services | Action for Children (AFC), central Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral agency, is seeking an individual to join its Family Child Care (FCC) team. The Family Child Care team is primarily responsible for recruiting and supporting individuals to become licensed, in-home child care providers, though exploring and expanding supports to existing FCC providers are also within this program’s reach.   • Professional Development Facilitator | Action for Children is seeking an individual to join its Child Care and Education Initiatives team as the Professional Development Facilitator. This individual is responsible for greeting Action for Children guests who visit us for training, and monitoring and recording attendance and participation. Trainings are both in-person and virtual. Action for Children has adopted a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy focused on safeguarding the health and safety of our employees and their families, our customers and visitors, and our community. This policy will comply with all applicable laws and follows the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) and local public health authorities. All employees are required to receive vaccinations unless a reasonable medical or religious accommodation is approved. Applicants for openings will be notified of Action for Children’s vaccine requirement, and will, if hired, be required to be fully vaccinated or get their first vaccination shot prior to their start date (and in the case of Pfizer or Moderna, get their second shot 2-4 weeks after the first one). Volunteer for Action for Children

We offer volunteer opportunities during office hours, Monday through Friday, as well as special events during office or non-office hours. Opportunities range from using your office and computer skills to assist our staff or working with staff on short-term special events, projects, and fundraising.
