NBCC Teachers are responsible for the care and education of a group of children as a part of a teaching team. The teacher, with the active participation of other members of the teaching team, plans and implements the curriculum, works with parents and assesses the needs of individual children. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:30-5:00. NBCC is offering quarterly bonuses for all full-time classroom teachers! Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Required Job Duties:
Use positive guidance strategies to support children
Develop weekly lesson plans based on interests and needs of the children
Complete quarterly child assessments using Teaching Strategies Gold
Conduct daily observations
Provide a play based learning environment
Ensure a safe and organized classroom space
Promote student engagement and independent learning
Maintain state licensing rules and Step Up to Quality guidelines
Ensure all child paperwork is up to date and complete
Work cooperatively with teaching team to maintain NBCC standards
Build positive relationships with families, maintaining open communications regarding child progress, behavior, and any concerns or updates
Prepares and serves snacks, following CACFP guidelines
Participates in NBCC events
Complete at least 10 hours of professional development yearly
Our family first center in Dublin is looking for caring, qualified and compassionate lead teachers. Our immediate needs are in our Infant and Toddler programs, specifically infants aged 6-12 month & 12 – 18 months as well as both toddler rooms.
Experience in the child care field of one year or more is required. A degree in ECE or a related field is preferred for lead teachers, but everyone is welcome to apply. We love coach-able people 🙂
Responsibilities include curriculum/lesson planning (Creative Curriculum), parent communication, working with a co-teacher in some cases, room upkeep, safety and well being of the children.
We strive ourselves on being able to hire for the long run. Most of our teachers are nearing 5-10 + years with us and we want to grow our professional family.
Pay rates start at $17+ for qualified candidates, but we are definitely willing to negotiate pay rates with experience.

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
