Perkins’ Playhouse & Learning Center Inc., is looking for the appropriate teacher that enjoys working with toddlers. Someone that is creative, energetic and doesn’t mind getting messy, or cleaning up the mess. Perkins Playhouse will be the place for you. This position is part-time.
    Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
    • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage, physical, social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
    • Maintain frequent communication with parents through daily informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
    • Ensure a healthy classroom environment—including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
    • Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
    • Work with children on potty training.
    • Take on ownership of the classroom by providing a warm and nurturing environment for all children.
    • Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous improvement.

Also, we are a Star Rated 3 Center through Step Up to Quality looking for a dedicated infant teacher to join our team! As a Lead Infant Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the foundational development of our youngest learners. This position is part-time or full-time.

  • POEM Rise is looking for Child Watch Helpers.

    Child Watch Helpers provide warm and engaging child watch support for children (age infant to pre-teen) of our parents attending POEM Rise support group. This position serves every 2nd and 4th Saturday (except holidays) from 11am-1pm at Eldon & Elsie Ward Family YMCA, 130 Woodland Ave, Columbus, OH 43203. Childcare activities and supplies are already provided in a secure child watch room. Stipend available.
