    Position Summary

    The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate early childhood program that supports children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment while maintaining compliance with state licensing and Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards
    Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
    Support children’s social-emotional development and behavior using positive guidance strategies
    Conduct ongoing observations and assessments (e.g., ASQ, developmental screenings)
    Maintain accurate documentation (attendance, child progress, incident reports)
    Communicate regularly with families about children’s development and daily activities
    Ensure classroom compliance with Ohio licensing and health/safety regulations
    Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff
    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment
