Position Summary
The Pre-K Lead Teacher plays a key role in fostering a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This position requires a creative, reliable, and highly organized educator who is committed to preparing children for kindergarten while maintaining high-quality standards in instruction, safety, and daily operations.
Attendance & Reliability: Demonstrates strong punctuality, consistent attendance, and dependability to support classroom stability and student learning.
Consistency in Teaching: Provides a predictable daily structure, follows lesson plans, and maintains consistent routines and expectations.
Bright wheel Proficiency: Uses Bright wheel confidently for attendance, ratios, daily reports, photos, assessments, parent communication, and incident documentation.
Instructional Responsibilities
Lesson Planning & Implementation: Develops and delivers weekly Creative Curriculum lesson plans aligned with Ohio’s Early Learning Development Standards (ELDS).
Kindergarten Readiness: Prepares children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten through intentional, skill-building instruction.
Small & Large Group Instruction: Effectively facilitates both small-group and whole-group learning experiences using age-appropriate, engaging strategies.
Creative Curriculum Execution: Utilizes learning centers, Mighty Minutes, hands-on materials, and structured teaching techniques daily.
Classroom Environment & Management
Classroom Management: Maintains a positive, organized, structured classroom using gentle guidance, routines, transitions, and clear expectations.
Creative & Engaging Learning Spaces: Designs visually appealing, developmentally appropriate classroom displays, bulletin boards, EOL boards, art walls, and learning centers.
Child Development Support: Promotes independence, self-help skills, early literacy, math readiness, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth.

Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety protocols, and childcare best practices at all times.
Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, infant care techniques, special education needs, and caregiving practices.
