    The School Aide assists in supervising children and integrating daily and long-term planning for classrooms in collaboration with Teachers and Administrators in the Schoenbaum Family Center at Weinland Park. The School Aide assists with operation tasks in an early childhood school. The incumbent ensures social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of children are met within the framework of the school’s philosophy. The School Aide assists in problem solving with teaching teams and administrators to address school or child needs. The incumbent works in a flexible, collaborative, and research-based environment with hours being 8-5 or 8:30-5:30 daily with an hour break.

    85% Ensures social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of children are met within framework of the school’s philosophy. Assists in supervising children and integrating daily and long-term planning for classrooms in collaboration with Teachers and Administrators in the Schoenbaum Family Center at Weinland Park;

    10% Assists with implementing, evaluating, and communicating classroom programming, research, routines, and procedures. Assists in management of classroom by completing paperwork and problem solving with team and parents to address classroom issues.

  • Overview:
    As a Kindergarten Readiness Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting parents to better prepare their children for school, and beyond! You will be responsible for reviewing assessment data with parents, holding them accountable, and assisting them in creating sustainable plans to support their child’s development at home. Additionally, you will recommend resources and facilitate/recommend workshops to empower parents in their role as their child’s first teacher.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Assessment Administration & Review:
    · Conduct assessments of children’s readiness for kindergarten based on standardized tools or assessments provided by Future Ready Five.
    · Analyze assessment data to identify each child’s strengths and areas for growth.
    · Conduct consultations with parents to discuss assessment findings and implications for their child’s kindergarten readiness.

    2. Accountability and Support:
    · Hold parents accountable for their child’s learning journey in a supportive and non-judgmental manner.
    · Provide ongoing encouragement and guidance to parents as they implement strategies to support their child’s development at home.

    3. Sustainable Plan Development:
    · Collaborate with parents to develop individualized plans that align with their child’s needs and family dynamics.
    · Offer practical strategies and techniques for parents to incorporate into their daily routines to support their child’s learning and development.

    4. Resource Recommendations:
    · Identify and recommend educational resources, materials, and tools that can enhance parents’ efforts in preparing their child for kindergarten.
    · Curate a library of age-appropriate books, activities, and learning aids for parents to access and utilize at home.

    5. Workshop Facilitation:
    · Plan and recommend/facilitate/assist with workshops on topics related to early childhood development, kindergarten readiness, and effective parenting strategies.
    · Provide interactive and engaging sessions that empower parents with practical skills and knowledge to support their child’s learning.
    · Collaborate with community partners to offer weekly guidance sessions for resource and/or intervention implementation.

    6. Documentation and Reporting:
    · Maintain accurate records of consultations, plans, and progress notes for each family.
    · Generate reports to track parent and child outcomes, including improvements in kindergarten readiness indicators.

    Compensation:
    · $40-$50,000 annually based on experience and education

    Our center is looking for an assistant director to help with the daily operations of our medium sized center. We serve up to 55 children per day.

    The assistant director will be responsible for assisting the Director with updating children’s files, maintaining medication lists and medical/physical care plans, assist the Director with food and disposable inventory, working closely with families to ensure their trust and happiness with our program, and assist in classrooms as needed due to staff absences. This position will hold the hours of 10:00AM-6:00PM Monday through Friday.
