Assistance with Child Care Costs

Whether you’re a parent interested in getting back to work, or hoping to enter the workforce, Action for Children is here to help you in your search for dependable, affordable child care. We are offering child care scholarships* of up to $9,000 each for children ages birth to kindergarten attending a licensed Franklin County child care program to:

  1. Assist with child care tuition
  2. Help you support your child's growth and learning
  3. Strengthen the Franklin County community

Scholarship Details

Scholarships are available for families, including foster families, who are not currently receiving Public Funded Child Care (PFCC), the Child Care Choice Voucher, or other funding sources*. Families must also have a total household income of 145% – 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. The chart below is available to determine income eligibility.

Completing the Scholarship Attendance/Enrollment Confirmation Form

A completed Scholarship Attendance/Enrollment Confirmation Form is required for all scholarship applicants. This form includes an attendance section followed by an enrollment section (both completed by the child care program) and ends with an enrollment section to be completed by the primary caregiver. Parents will receive a link via email to complete their portion of the form once the child care program has completed their portion.
