Action for Children’s trusted services for home-based and center-based child care professionals improve access to high-quality early learning for young children in central Ohio and empower child care professionals to achieve their goals.
Action for Children offers a wide variety of professional development for early childhood educators working in child care centers, schools, and Family Child Care homes. Our services include free and low-cost trainings, networking and professional development events, coaching, and tuition assistance for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in education.
Action for Children provides free on-site Technical Assistance (TA) to child care professionals working to improve the quality of their programs through Step Up To Quality, Ohio’s child care quality rating system. Our staff will meet you where you are by providing information, coaching and planning resources to help you meet your program’s Step Up To Quality goals.
The Franklin County RISE program helps to make child care and early education experiences more accessible to all. The Franklin County Board of Commissioners are offering funding to boost child care enrollment and strengthen child care programs.
