Lead Teacher

Lead Teacher for 4/5-year-old classroom:

To care for the social, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each child by providing a safe, loving, educational, and Christian environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintaining compliance with all aspects of state guidelines and regulations.
• Recognizing the individual needs of each child, encouraging social, physical, spiritual, emotional and mental growth through play with others in an attitude of cooperation, with hands-on experience and positive reinforcement as a primary teaching tool. By directing the child in the knowledge of God’s love, care, and concern for them; teaching always Biblical truths of His love, power, creation, and goodness, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
• Maintaining close supervision of each child and a controlled atmosphere.
• Creating and implementing a weekly lesson plan that would include age appropriate concepts; including daily art, music, and circle time activities.
• The set up and maintenance of age appropriate creative centers in the classroom.
• Serving daily meals and snacks to the children.
• Assisting a child with toileting needs when necessary.
• Daily cleaning duties, such as disinfecting tables and sweeping or vacuuming the floor after daily meals and snacks.
• Cleaning duties, such as disinfecting toys, disinfecting cots, vacuuming, mopping, and bathroom clean up (unclogging toilets/ mopping up over flown toilets/ replenishing paper towels/ replenishing hand soap).
• Ability to create and maintain positive and appropriate parent-teacher relationships.
• Great interpersonal skills with both staff and families
• Willingness to perform duties as requested and/or assigned by the Administrator or the Administrative Assistant.
