Professional Development Instructional Coach

Position Description:

What You’ll Do

As an Instructional Coach on the Professional Development (PD) team, you will provide individualized coaching to early care and education (ECE) professionals while supporting PD programming. This role reports to the PD Coordinator and the Program Manager for Professional Education. You’ll spend most of your time working directly with educators to strengthen skills, especially in early language and literacy and help drive positive outcomes for children. Travel within Franklin County is required. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be needed to support training sessions. The position begins July 15, 2025.

In this role, you will

• Provide individualized, one-on-one coaching to early care and education (ECE) professionals, with a focus on early language and literacy development

• Collaborate with educators to set coaching goals and track progress over time

• Accurately record and report data in AFC’s internal systems following established protocols

• Coordinate and communicate effectively with AFC staff, community stakeholders, and contract trainers

• Support training sessions as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends

• Contribute to the achievement of team and organizational goals, and perform other duties as assigned
