Great news! The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services just announced an incentive for all licensed child care providers who register for their initial Step Up To Quality 1-Star Rating, or a higher rating, between Jan. 1 and Feb. 29, 2020!
Unrated programs and currently rated 1-and 2- star programs that submit a SUTQ registration between January 1, 2020 and February 29, 2020 are eligible for the incentive payment once the rating is approved by ODJFS. Highly rated programs that already have a 3-, 4- or 5-star rating are ineligible to receive the incentive. Center-based providers who submit for a SUTQ rating and receive the SUTQ rating will receive a $4,000 stipend for programming. Family child care providers will receive a $2,000 stipend.
Now is the time to get started, and Action for Children can help! Our Technical Assistance Coaches make the process easier for providers by offering on-site visits and support. We’re here for you every step of the way and want to make sure you don’t miss out on this opportunity.
To avoid a gap in your program’s ability to serve publicly funded children, your registration for an SUTQ rating should be submitted by March 1, 2020.
Get started today! Call our Step Up To Quality Coordinator, Brittany Jackson at 614.224.0222 ext 157 or email her directly at bjackson@actionforchildren.org!
