Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Childcare Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote growth across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Responsibilities

Design and implement creative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development focused on literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and collaboration among children.
Support children’s developmental milestones through tailored activities in areas such as childhood development, behavior management, and early intervention strategies.
Foster effective communication with children to promote language skills and emotional expression; incorporate Montessori or other pedagogical methods as appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress, including documentation for standardized testing and assessments related to early childhood education.
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to share insights on child welfare, progress, and classroom experiences.
Uphold health and safety standards within the daycare or preschool setting while managing classroom routines efficiently.
Requirements

Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school environments; classroom management experience is highly valued.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques.
Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
Excellent communication skills to effectively work with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori certification or experience is a plus.
Familiarity with behavior management strategies and special education accommodations when necessary.
Ability to plan lessons that integrate standardized testing preparation where applicable while fostering a love for learning in young children. Qualifications:

· CPR and First Aid Certification

· Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred

· A minimum of 1-year professional childcare experience in a daycare atmosphere

· Lift a minimum of 40 pounds to your waist regularly, and work indoors or outdoors (often on the floor)

· Ability to sit (reading time) for extended periods and interact fully with the children keeping them safe, and engaged

· Highly professional and dependable

· Pleasant demeanor and an outgoing personality

Additional requirements

Must complete a BCI & FBI fingerprinting on or before hire

Have an Ohio Professional Registry (OPR) profile on or before hire
