Position Description:

Indianola Children’s Center (ICC) is a small center located in the Indianola Presbyterian Church near OSU Campus. We are a mission of the church, but we do not do any religious education. We are focused on developing the whole child including social and emotional development through peaceful conflict resolution. We have an outdoor classroom where children have access to water and nature. The classroom assistant teacher assists in planning for the classroom curriculum in collaboration with the classroom team; ensures social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of children are met, ensures all state licensing rules are followed; assists in the management of classroom including communicating with parents and other team members.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Required-
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Additional Education Desired
2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Associate degree in early childhood education or a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate is preferred.
Previous experience working in an Early Childhood classroom.

Rate of Pay:

$15-$17 depending on qualifications
