Position Description:

Children First Inc. is a non-profit early learning center that has been in business for 36 years promoting child development and learning to 100 children. We have both Assistant and floater positions available in our infant and toddler rooms. Each new addition to the Children First team is an opportunity to help our children and families learn and grow more as individuals. Qualifications and Skills
• Must meet all state licensing requirements
• Energetic with a fun and loving personality
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Able to engage with children of all ages and skill levels with 6 months of child care center experience
• Must have a High School diploma
• CDA, Associates, or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood degrees preferred
• Highly professional and dependable and must have worked in a center for 6 months
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• Safety and customer-service oriented
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children
• Teach the children through play with our curriculum based on Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards
• Develop lesson plans based on the Children First curriculum
• Observe all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
• Establish positive and productive relationships with families
• Support the social and emotional development of all the children in the classroom
