Action for Children is committed to offering a wide variety of quality projects and programs to those professionals working the Early Childhood Education field. Quality programs are offered for professionals in a variety of settings who serve children birth 12 years.

 


After School Initiative
Technical assistance, use of SACERS, and professional development for directors & staff working in before / after school programs.
 
First Steps—Ohio’s Infant & Toddler Initiative
Technical assistance, use of ITERS, and professional development for directors & staff working with infants and toddlers.

Center Accreditation (NAEYC, NAFCC)
Technical assistance, professional development, resources, & enhancement monies to assist programs with achieving accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (naeyc).
 
Healthy Child Care Ohio (HCCO)
Nutrition consultation and professional development for child care providers on nutrition, meal planning, accommodating children with special dietary needs, and classroom nutrition activities.

Child Development Associate (CDA)
Professional development modules that meet requirements in each CDA category. T.E.A.C.H. scholarships are available for CDA candidates in central Ohio through OCCRRA.
 
Neighborhood Network
One year of ongoing professional development and classroom observations for participating centers and home providers focused on social and emotional development.

Children & Nature
Professional development opportunity aimed at integrating nature into Early Childhood learning environments.
 
Step Up to Quality (SUTQ)
Technical assistance, use of ECERS, and professional development for directors & staff working towards quality rating within statewide rating program.
