Professional Development

NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) serves all schools or centers in early childhood education. Being NAEYC accredited is an honor representing each school or center with a commitment to early childhood development, professional development and their community. Action for Children, funded through United Way’s Start Smart, assists centers in obtaining NAEYC accreditation by providing the following services:

monthly directors’ work groups
on site technical assistance to center staff using the NAEYC documents
financial assistance to deferring a portion of accreditation fees
