Action for Children, as designated by the State of Ohio, manages the central Ohio region of a statewide network of 12 regional resource and referral agencies and their partners that serve Ohio's 88 counties. As regional agencies, we are part of the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association (OCCRRA). Action for Children is also a member of the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), which links us to a national network of more than 800 resource and referral agencies serving communities throughout the U.S.

As a resource and referral agency, Action for Children maintains a comprehensive database of child care and early education programs in Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union counties. This data includes licensed, certified, and registered child care and early education programs; private and publicly-funded. Combined with aggregate statistical data tracked for reporting program outcomes, the database is a valuable resource for information about child care and early education supply and demand, identifying gaps in services; as well as statistical information about families, cost of care, and professional development.
