You have already noticed your child’s development occurring in many different ways: physical, emotional, intellectual—to name a few. You may even have received charts or books from your pediatrician that describes "normal" childhood ages and stages. If your child seems to follow in line with this information---wonderful! And, it’s also important to remember that every child is unique, and all children develop at their own pace. This section is intended to help you know more about your child’s behaviors, needs, etc. The characteristics described can help you understand your "whole child" regardless of whether the age matches his. If you have concerns about your child’s development, your pediatrician or family doctor will be happy to talk with you about it in more detail.
