Action for Children registers providers in Franklin and Delaware counties in Ohio. The first step to becoming a registered provider with Action for Children is completing the application form.
In Franklin County you will be required to attend an orientation session prior to receiving an application form. The purpose of this orientation is to outline the registration process in more detail and explore the business of family child care. You will receive an application form at the end of the orientation.
In Delaware County the process differs slightly. You must call the Delaware Action for Children office to receive an application form by mail. You must then send the completed application form to the Delaware Action for Children office.
Once you have completed the application and submitted it to Action for Children, a recruitment specialist will contact you to schedule a visit with you in your home. At the visit you learn more about the steps to take in establishing your business and for completing the registration process. It is at this time you will receive additional forms necessary to complete the process.
