Learning Opportunities

Research has shown that children’s growth and development is positively impacted by adults who continue to participate in their own learning about early childhood development. Action for Children sponsors a variety of classes to serve the needs of child care center directors and their staff, family home child care providers caring for children from birth to 6 years of age and for out-of-school time specialists serving school-age children. AFC’s workshops are led by early childhood experts experienced in working with young children and leading adults in their own learning and development.

If you are a family home child care provider or interested in becoming a family home child care provider, please click here for learning opportunities. We also recommend attending local and statewide conferences, which offer an invaluable opportunity to learn and network with others in your field.
